For the midwest this is a decent hill with a mixture of terrain. With a vertical drop of less than 300 don't expect alpine skiing. Still this is within a short drive of Detroit and the suburbs. Its great to get your snow fix.

Pine knob is always super packed. Lots of people usually on the bunny hill. They usually have a sweet terrain park open every year. Lots of cool features set up. The Fire pit and beers are always a vibe that’s if you drink. One of the local hills for me definitely would recommend to check it out this winter!

The best place to ski in lower Michigan. 144 snow guns keep the Knob powdered up. The maintainance and ground crew are top-notch, and chair lift operators do their best to keep skiers and snowboarders safe and moving to the top! Ski Happy at Pine Knob.

Great Time! This was my first time here and I had a really great time. Everyone was nice and helpful. The lounge was nice and the food was ok. Although they were busy and having issues with their computers, the service was fast and everyone was friendly. The lift attendants and ski patrol were attentive and very friendly. The slopes were decent for the area and the had some really ompressive terrain runs with rails.

I cannot say enough good things about my ski day today. 40 year old first time skier. Nothing but good from the start. Gal at the front desk (wish I got her name) - so helpful. She showed and helped each of us with our lift tags and gave perfect directions on what to do and expect next. All the folks at the boot and helmet station were so helpful and really nice. Next our instructor showed up and took us every step of the way from there. Marty is the very best!! The folks measuring and reviewing info for the ski’s were super nice as well 10/10 best experience!

We had an amazing time at Pine Knob. Your experience will depend strongly on the weather, but the day we went, they had blown a ton of new snow on the hill and the lifts were running fast. I was able to get about 20 runs in each day I went. They have two (at least) terrain parks - an easy one, and an expert one, a green bunny hill (that is terribly packed), some black and blue hills (keep in mind that the blue hills here are basically greens everywhere else), and several lifts to get you to the top, both ride on and tow ropes.
